IT Infrastructure Administrator

MBSC has an exciting opportunity for IT Infrastructure Administrator based in King Abdullah Economic City which is located 100km North of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, designing Systems and communication networks.This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing Systems, network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for DataCenters, Cloud services, security systems, IP Telephony, and other electronic infrastructure.

The Infrastructure Administrator will ensure the integrity of high availability infrastructure to provide maximum performance for their users. Users may be Students, Faculty, Staff, Visitors, business partners. The ideal candidate must have 5 years work experience in IT and 3 years as Infrastructure Engineer. The candidate must have the ability to support 150+ domain users (Faculty. Staff & Students) and must have a university degree in the field of computer science.

Key Responsibilites:

• establishing the Infrastructure environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards;

• the design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current Infrastructure environment: High Availability / Disaster Recovery Sites
• Manage Windows Servers on premises (Domain Controllers, Print and File Servers, Application Servers etc) and on the Cloud (Office 365 services including Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure server …)
• Design  & Maintain Single-Sign On services across different services ( Blackboard, Student Information Systems, ERP… )
• maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation;
• undertaking Infrastructure & data network fault investigations in DataCenter or Cloud using information from multiple sources;
• securing Infrastructure systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;
• the support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy;
• updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations;
• reporting Infrastructure operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects;
• upgrading Infrastructure equipment to the latest stable firmware releases;
• the configuration and maintenance of Servers, Storage, Back-up, Virtualized Guest servers, Virtualized desktops, Virtual and Physical appliances (ex: Anti-Malware services)
• the configuration and maintenance of routing and switching equipment, IP Voice Servers, Firewall and other devices or services: Load balancers, VPN, Quality of Service
• remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;
• remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;
• capacity management (Storage capacity, Memory, Storage, CPU) and Management of  IP addressing  for hosted devices within data centres and on Campus.

• ITIL / PMP Trained is a plus
• Citrix Certified Associate or VMWare Certified Associate certified
• Virtual Desktop experience is required. VCP7-DTM is a clear advantage.
• MCSA Trained. Certification is a plus.
• CCNA Collaboration and/or CCNA Routing&Switching certified. CCIE is a clear advantage.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls. Certification is an advantage
• Working Experience with SAN Storage
